Going Beyond

Jesus simply went BEYOND...  Many of us have been on the ledge of beyond. It is a place where you dig into the deepest recesses of your being. It is a place of transcendence. It is a place of amazement, when a person has touched an attribute of God that defies the imagination. Living in the beyond is to repeatedly touch God and experience the infinite touch of His Presence.

How can one be normal, and live a normal life when one has touched this capacity with one's soul? It is amazing.

The scene

Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led around by the Spirit in the wilderness  for forty days, being tempted by the devil. Luke 4:1-2

This verse gives us a glimpse of Jesus going beyond. Rick Joyner through revelation takes us further into the scene, bringing the angelic perspective into view.

"Jesus walked on into the desert under a cloud of darkness such as had never been witnessed on the earth before. Demons of every kind were swarming throughout the mid-heavens all around and above the wilderness. The presence of the evil one himself was felt by the angels throughout the region, through he want seen because of the great swarming darkness around him. No angel for a thousand miles would sheath his sward for the next forty days." pg. 78 "When God Walked the Earth"Joyner, 2007

What Jesus did here was go beyond the realm of sanity, or natural capacity.  He did it by subjecting himself to a context that was beyond all the normal limitations of human capacity and action, while being human. He transcended, he bridged over from one dimension to another. The result was transformation. This is still a mystery, and I don't fully understand it. But I can see a glimpse of it.

Transformation

Jesus didn't change. But something was transformed by this act of transcendence on behalf of Jesus. What Jesus did was activate a transformation within reality within time regarding his personal condition. By subjecting himself to a degree of raw temptation, with a maximum saturation level of potency, and choosing NOT to align with the voice of the enemy, he overthrew something in himself: namely, the opportunity to realign around something false. The purpose of this extreme degree of exposure is first, to demonstrate the character of God from the broken place of humanity, and secondly, to initiate the process to deliver the people of God out of the hand of the enemy.

Luke 4:14-15 Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and news about Him spread through all the surrounding district.  He began teaching in their synagogues and was praised by all.

Notice the effect of the transformation: He returned in the power of the Spirit. Not the second member of the trinity, for that would be far to easy. He returned AS A MAN that had accessed the THIRD MEMBER OF THE TRINITY. He wasn't performing as himself. (Philippians 2:5-11) He was activating a model, a pattern of transformation that would serve as a road map for every believer to come.

This is why Jesus told the disciples that it was better for him to go. They themselves would then be able to access this transformation process of transcendence that He had undergone as a man.

The Invitation

There is an invitation for every man, woman, and child to undergo this PROCESSING of heaven to walk in the power of Holy Spirit. This is the inheritance of the Sons of God, and it is the destruction of the works of the devil. All you have to do to go Beyond with God is ask. He will take you.

For the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God. Romans 8: 19-21
